Baby Tot Meet-Ups NOW WITH EARLY LEARNERS

This week we’re welcoming a special guest!

Marlena Pelegrin is a social worker and new mom. After being laid off in her third trimester of pregnancy, she filed a lawsuit against her former employer that settled out of court. Even with years of experience as a social worker, advocating for protections in the workplace felt confusing and overwhelming, especially while also preparing for the birth of her first baby.

From that experience she created a guide, called Employed and Expecting, to help educate other parents on their rights in the workplace during pregnancy and postpartum.

In this event, Marlena will cover main themes of the guide, including laws that protect expecting parents, how parents can prepare for parental leave, and how to advocate for their protections in the workplace.

To purchase her guide and learn about employment rights during pregnancy, follow for more @employed.and.expecting on Instagram

Play & coffee time with friends plus a structured circle time with songs and stories.

Free to members and first-time guests.
Day passes and donations also welcome.
Registration required.
